No-Knead Rosemary Bread

This incredibly easy, no-mess bread is going to become a new favorite in your house! It's the perfect bread recipe for beginners and is delicious with any soup or pasta recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 1 to 1-1/4 cup warm water

  • 1/2 Tbsp instant yeast (see note for using active dry yeast)

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tsp dried rosemary

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, stir together 1 cup of warm water and the yeast.

  2. In a large bowl, stir together all of the remaining ingredients and then stir in the water/yeast mixture. Add more water (1 Tbsp at a time) until all of the flour is hydrated. It's okay if the dough is sticky, as long as it holds its shape pretty well.

  3. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place for an hour until doubled in size.

  4. Lightly spray a loaf pan. Using a spatula, scrape the dough directly into the loaf pan. Use your fingers or the spatula to gently smooth the top and spread the dough into the corners.

  5. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place for an hour until doubled in size.

  6. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Remove the towel and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. Then reduce the heat to 375 degrees and bake for another 15 minutes.

  7. Let the cooked bread sit for at least 20 minutes before moving to a cutting board to cool completely.

Notes:

  • Yeast: If you are using active dry yeast, let the warm water and yeast mixture sit for 5 minutes before adding to the flour mixture.
