Loaded Burger Bowls

These Loaded Burger Bowls are a great way to get all the flavors of a burger with some extra vegetables and a really yummy sauce! Lay out all of the toppings to serve an easy build-your-own dinner.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. frozen French fries

  • 1 pound 93% lean ground beef

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  • 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped

  • 2 Roma tomatoes, diced

  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced (see note)

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup pickle slices

  • Bacon bits or cooked, chopped bacon

For the sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 2 Tbsp ketchup

  • 2 Tbsp pickle juice or relish

  • pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Cook the French fries according to package directions.

  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Once the meat is fully cooked, remove from heat.

  3. Chop the romaine lettuce, tomatoes, and onion.

  4. In a small bowl, stir together the dressing ingredients.

  5. Assemble the bowls starting with lettuce, then add the remaining ingredients and sauce.

Notes:

  • Makes about 4-6 servings.

  • Red onion: if you aren't a fan of raw red onion, either omit or cook the red onion with the beef for a milder flavor!
