This four-ingredient dessert is so simple and quick but is sure to impress your family and friends! These Nutella Puff Pastries are flaky and buttery and perfect for brunch or dessert.

Servings: 8 pastries

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of refrigerated puff pastry, see note

  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup of nutella

  • 1 egg, for egg wash

  • powdered sugar to dust on top

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone liner.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a cutting board (I prefer to leave the parchment underneath for easier clean up).

  3. Use a spatula to spread out nutella. Make sure all of the corners and sides are evenly covered.

  4. Gently grab the short end and fold it over to touch the other short end.

  5. Use a pizza slicer or sharp knife to cut 8 strips.

  6. Holding both ends of each strip, gently twist by turning both hands in opposite directions.

  7. Use your left hand to hold one end still and then wrap your right hand around your left hand to make a circular pastry. Make sure the end is tucked in.

  8. Place each pastry on the cookie sheet and brush lightly with a beaten egg.

  9. Bake 350 for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

  10. Let them cool before dusting with powdered sugar and enjoy!

Notes:

  • Puff Pastry: I prefer using refrigerated puff pastry, but you can use frozen puff pastry and follow the instructions on thawing so it doesn't crack when you fold it.
