Pizza Sliders

These sweet Hawaiian rolls are filled with sauce, cheese and pepperoni and brushed with a garlic butter topping. It's a fast and simple dinner or a great addition to any party!

Pizza Sliders

Servings: 12-15 rolls

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 12-15 Hawaiian Sweet Rolls or dinner rolls

  • 1/2 -1 cup pizza sauce

  • 20-30 slices of pepperoni

  • 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) salted butter

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp dried parsley

  • 2 Tbsp parmesan cheese

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a 9x13 pan with aluminum foil.

  2. Without pulling apart the individual rolls, use a serrated knife to cut the rectangle of bread into a top and bottom slab. Place the bottom piece on the pan. If using dinner rolls, cut each roll in half and place the bottom halves in the pan.

  3. Optional but recommended step: Lightly spray the bottom halves of bread with cooking spray and place in the oven with the broil setting turned on high for just a few minutes. Watch them carefully so they don't burn. This step will help keep the bread from getting to soggy from the pizza sauce.

  4. Pull the bread out of the oven and spread on the pizza sauce followed by the pepperoni and the mozzarella cheese.

  5. Place the top piece(s) of bread on top.

  6. Heat the butter in the microwave until fully melted and then stir in the remaining ingredients.

  7. Gently pour the butter mixture on top. It's okay if some of it falls on to the sides, but try to keep as much on top as possible. I like to use a pastry brush to gently spread out the butter mixture evenly.

  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for 5-10 minutes to let the tops get crispy.

  9. Slice into individual sliders and serve immediately! They will be gone very quickly!
